Artist's Description
Introducing the Mary Louise Brooks bookplate, an exquisite design created by the renowned book illustrator Frank C. Papé. These small illustrated labels were used in the early 20th century to mark ownership of a book, and this bookplate was designed for the personal library of silent screen icon Louise Brooks.
The Naked on My Goat blog takes its name from a reference in Goethe's Faust, which is also the title of Ms. Brooks' unpublished memoir. Visit our blog today to learn more about this fascinating film and dance icon.
